So the Christmas holiday’s over and I’m heading back to my house in Cambridge tomorrow. All of my friends left weeks ago (seems like I’m a late starter) and I’ve been horrifically bored ever since.
They say that only the boring are bored. I agree.
I’ll be starting my second semester at university (Anglia Ruskin, for a quick refresher) and I’m really looking forward to it. During A-levels (high school if you’re American) I studied maths, chemistry and physics, but I’ve always had this… strange attraction towards English. So on the day of my results I called up goooooooooood ol’ Anglia Ruskin and asked (read: begged) them to let me study English there.
Clearly they must have been in a good mood to let me in.
And one semester later, I’m still really enjoying myself and I’m looking forward to getting back into my learning. (Why yes, I am a nerd, thanks for asking). The only problem is with going back to university is that I can’t take my piano with me.
What? Didn’t I say I played piano?
So that’s a bit of a downer. I’ve got this MIDI keyboard that plugs into my PC, but I don’t have a decent-enough music program to really make good use of it. My roommate has a Mac with GarageBand on it, and it works perfectly.
I need a Mac.
So yeah, looking forward to heading back to university.
Keep those keyboards tapping!
